About This Role

Provide high-quality dental care to inmates/residents in an institutional setting, performing scaling, cleaning, polishing, and treating gums. Additionally, develop and conduct dental health education programs for preventive care.

Responsibilities

Perform scaling, cleaning and polishing of teeth
Render treatment to gums and tissue surrounding teeth
Develop and conduct a dental health education program
Instruct inmates/residents in preventive dental techniques
Take and develop dental x-rays as directed
Take impressions for study casts
Spend a minimum of 75% of time performing duties which involve direct contract with inmates/residents

Requirements

Must be licensed and/or certified as a dental hygienist in the state of employment
Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age
