Provide comprehensive dental hygiene services to patients, maintain regulatory compliance, and support the overall dental program objectives for Marimn Health, an employer recognized for its positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to the ethics and Code of Conduct established by ADHA, Idaho State Board of Dental Examiners, and Marimn Health
- Maintain compliance with annual continuing education and CPR requirements
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with dental and medical professionals in the community
- Maximize clinical procedures during all scheduled appointment times
- Adequately utilize the “quick call list” to fill cancelled/no show appointments
- Ensure local anesthetic solutions and all materials for direct patient care have current expiration dates
- Carefully review patient medical and dental history forms
- Accurately chart each patient’s periodontal health
- Provide comprehensive dental services to all patients in a non-discriminatory, confidential and professional atmosphere
- Maintain obligation of staying on time with appointed patients
- Communicate with patients in an understandable and professional way
- Check on patient comfort during treatment to allay patient anxiety
- Perform scaling, root planning, selective polishing, and provide radiographs and topical fluoride applications as prescribed by the dentist
- Perform sealant applications for designated patients as prescribed by the dentist
- Provide patient education sessions and materials to patients
- Manage hygiene room cleanliness, equipment operation, and supply inventory
- Implement infection control procedures including discarding disposable items, processing and sterilizing instruments, and storing them appropriately
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the ADA
- Licensed in the State of Idaho or license eligible
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the ADA
Nice to Have
- Two years of experience supervising Dental Assistants in public health or related field
