Dental Hygienist

About This Role

This role involves providing comprehensive preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and ensuring a positive experience. The hygienist will collaborate with the clinical team to maintain high standards of patient care and a professional treatment environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, disinfect, and fully stock the treatment room for each appointment
• Update patient health histories, take blood pressure, and gather visit information
• Educate patients about their oral health needs, treatment options, and long-term outcomes
• Provide Soft Tissue Management (STM) and customize home-care plans for periodontal patients
• Collaborate with clinical staff to maintain clean, organized, and professional treatment and lab areas
• Document patient conditions, medical/dental histories, treatment notes, and patient feedback
• Perform hygiene treatment procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling, sealants, coronal polishing, and fluoride applications
• Manage and oversee non-surgical periodontal therapy programs
• Expose digital radiographs
• Lead the preventive maintenance program and partner with the hygiene assistant on recall systems
• Maintain inventory control in hygiene rooms
• Sharpen and sterilize periodontal instruments
• Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety policies

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene Program
• Current state dental hygiene licensure in good standing
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to lift 15–20 lbs

Qualifications

• Graduation from a two- to four-year accredited Dental Hygiene Program
• Entry level
