Delivery Specialist

About This Role

The Delivery Specialist is responsible for safely operating company vehicles to deliver parts and products to professional customers, collecting payments, and managing returns. This role ensures efficient and accurate deliveries while maintaining vehicle cleanliness and security.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, and update vehicle mileage
• Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily vehicle inspections
• Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and collected monies
• Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips
• Communicate customer problems or special needs to store management
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure vehicle at end of day's business
• Clock in/out according to company policy
• Assist with general stocking, merchandising, customer service, and cashier duties as business dictates

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations
• Driving record must meet company's 14/18-point record system criteria
• Legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements

Qualifications

• Entry level position.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with automotive parts
• Ability to operate other light store equipment
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
