Delivery Specialist

About This Role

The Delivery Specialist is responsible for safely and efficiently operating company vehicles to deliver automotive parts and products to professional customers, collecting payments, and managing returns. This role requires maintaining vehicle cleanliness and security, and using handheld devices for delivery processing.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, and update vehicle mileage
• Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily vehicle inspections
• Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and collected monies
• Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips
• Communicate customer problems or special needs to store management
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and secure vehicle at the end of the day's business

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations
• Driving record must meet company's 14/18-point record system

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with automotive parts
• Ability to operate other light store equipment
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish
