Delivery Specialist

About This Role

The Delivery Specialist is responsible for safely operating company vehicles to deliver parts and products to professional customers, collecting payments, and managing customer returns. This role ensures efficient delivery processes and vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products safely and efficiently
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices for processing deliveries, capturing signatures, and updating mileage
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform daily vehicle inspections, and report maintenance needs or damage
• Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, hand-held devices, and collected monies
• Pick up customer returns and complete driver return slips
• Communicate customer problems or special needs to store management
• Ensure the fuel tank is filled and secure the vehicle at the end of the day
• Clock in/out according to company policy
• Occasionally assist customers, serve as a cashier, and help with merchandising tasks

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations
• Driving record meeting company 14/18-point record system standards
• Legally required state driver's license and company mandated driving eligibility requirements

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with automotive parts
• Ability to operate other light store equipment
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish
