Delivery Specialist

About This Role

This role involves safely and efficiently delivering auto parts and products to O'Reilly stores and distribution centers. The Delivery Specialist will maintain delivery manifests, ensure vehicle upkeep, and provide professional customer service to maintain good store relations.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle to deliver parts and products to stores and/or distribution center
• Pick up and sign for stock transfers at each stop on set route, deliver to appropriate store
• Maintain daily city route manifest for deliveries
• Keep fleet/fuel card, vehicle and keys secure
• Understand accident report guidelines
• Ensure designated team member at each store verifies all invoices and signs the route manifest
• Communicate any delivery delays to city delivery supervisor and/or stores
• Project a professional and personable image to maintain good customer relations
• Communicate problems or special needs from stores to store management
• Clock in/out according to company policy
• Check fluid levels (oil, radiator, transmission, etc.) and log mileage prior to operating vehicle each day
• Report vehicle maintenance needs immediately to store manager
• Ensure fuel tank is filled, lock and secure vehicle at end of day's business
• Drive safely and defensively

Requirements

• Legal required state driver's license
• Meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements
• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Good interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system
