Delivery Specialist

About This Role

Operate and maintain company vehicles to deliver automotive parts and products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This role ensures timely deliveries while adhering to company policies and maintaining vehicle integrity.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, and update vehicle mileage
• Complete daily vehicle inspections prior to operating and keep vehicles clean and maintained
• Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and collected monies
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores) and complete driver return slips
• Communicate customer problems or special needs to store management
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to store manager immediately
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock/secure vehicle at end of day's business
• Clock in/out according to company policy
• Assist with customer service, sweeping, stocking, merchandising, and running errands as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations
• Driving record meeting company 14/18-point record system standard
• Legally required state driver's license and company mandated driving eligibility requirements

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with automotive parts
• Ability to operate other light store equipment
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
