Delivery Specialist

About This Role

Operate and maintain company vehicles to safely and efficiently deliver automotive parts and products to professional customers, handling COD deliveries and customer returns. Ensure proper vehicle care and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, and update vehicle mileage
• Complete daily vehicle inspections prior to operating and keep vehicles clean and maintained
• Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and collected monies
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores) and fill out driver return slips
• Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to store manager immediately
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure vehicle at end of day's business
• Clock in/out according to company policy
• Assist with customer service, general stocking, merchandising, and handling core returns when needed

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations
• Driving record must meet company's 14/18-point record system standard
• Legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with automotive parts
• Ability to operate other light store equipment
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
