About This Role

This role involves picking up and dropping off automotive parts, adhering to assigned routes and time schedules, while providing excellent customer service. The Delivery Driver will ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and contribute to work safety.

Responsibilities

  • Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly and courteous manner
  • Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness, correct charges, and customer satisfaction
  • Follow directions from dispatcher, adhere to assigned routes, time schedules, and use navigation apps
  • Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles without interfering with customer operations
  • Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints professionally
  • Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
  • Accept payments, prepare reports including invoices, return forms, and reconcile debt/credit
  • Complete daily maintenance checks on company delivery vehicle and notify manager of issues
  • Assist in store/warehouse duties such as stocking and parts pulling
  • Maintain and promote workplace safety
  • Secure and transfer cash or other assets

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 21 years old for company insurance requirements
  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds (75 lbs for Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers)
  • Ability to manage, track and account for money transactions
  • Ability to utilize a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation and customer interface
  • Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others as part of a team
  • Must meet all minimum requirements and qualifications to be eligible to drive for Parts Authority

Qualifications

  • Previous delivery driving experience is a plus
