As an Auto Parts Counter Professional, you will be responsible for driving inside sales activity by building and maintaining strong customer relationships, closing deals, and achieving sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain productive, long-lasting relationships with existing customers
- Close sales to achieve goals and drive growth
- Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Understand customer needs to provide appropriate solutions
- Locate hard-to-find parts and negotiate with vendors for the best deals
- Provide precise quotes and follow up with customers to ensure orders are placed
- Track lost sales and promote company specials
- Assist colleagues and foster new sales opportunities
- Fulfill customer orders from various sectors, including installers, fleets, municipalities, and car dealerships
- Maintain and promote workplace safety
- Secure and transfer cash or other assets
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years in counter sales in a competitive market
- Exceptional phone skills with a positive, enthusiastic, and attentive tone
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Passionate about exceptional customer service and exceeding sales goals
- Ability to build and maintain lasting business relationships
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word and Excel)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to act and operate independently to accomplish objectives
- Outgoing, assertive, proactive, positive, with a “can-do” attitude and tenacity in pursuit of goals
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years in counter sales in a competitive market, with a preference for wholesale auto parts sales in the aftermarket industry
Nice to Have
- Wholesale auto parts sales experience in the aftermarket industry
- Existing customer base
- General automotive knowledge
- Experience with POS systems
- Spanish and/or Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) language skills
