Database Security Admin

About This Role

The Database Security Admin maintains and secures enterprise database systems, specifically focusing on the Imperva SecureSphere platform. This role involves engineering infrastructure, partnering with stakeholders, and ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance for mission-essential application databases.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the database security monitoring platform (e.g., Imperva SecureSphere), including configuration, tuning, and health monitoring
• Engineer and support platform infrastructure (compute, storage, network dependencies) to maintain operational availability
• Plan and execute upgrades, patching, and configuration changes with minimal service disruption
• Deploy, update, and validate agents/sensors across database hosts and environments
• Diagnose and resolve platform, agent, and telemetry issues; coordinate remediation with internal teams and vendors
• Develop and maintain operational runbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and support documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
• 4+ years of experience with database security solutions (Imperva preferred, equivalents acceptable)
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in upgrading and configuring database monitoring/security tools
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in deploying and supporting agents, sensors, and related database security components
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in database diagnostics and troubleshooting in enterprise environments
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in creating operational support documentation (runbooks/SOPs)
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 4+ years of experience with database security solutions (Imperva preferred), and 2+ years hands-on experience in upgrading/configuring database monitoring/security tools, deploying/supporting agents/sensors, database diagnostics/troubleshooting, and creating operational support documentation.
