As a Data Engineer II at Centene Corporation, you will develop and operationalize data pipelines to ensure data is available for consumption, including ingestion, transformation, validation, and optimization. This role involves designing and implementing standardized data management procedures and high-performance data structures for business intelligence analytics. You will also work on developing and maintaining real-time processing applications and data pipelines to improve health outcomes for 28 million members.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement standardized data management procedures around data staging, data ingestion, data preparation, data provisioning, and data destruction
- Design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data structures for business intelligence analytics
- Design, develop, and maintain real-time processing applications and real-time data pipelines
- Ensure quality of technical solutions as data moves across Centene’s environments
- Provide insight into the changing data environment, data processing, data storage, and utilization requirements for the company and offer suggestions for solutions
- Develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures using programming language and tools
- Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality; use data to discover tasks that can be automated
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science)
- 2-4 years of related experience
