Data Center Associate

About This Role

The Data Center Associate is responsible for managing material orders, customer service, and inventory, as well as assembling and installing servers and electronic components in a data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers
• Perform quality checks on inbound and outbound freight for accurate part numbers and quantities and pristine material condition
• Execute daily inventory cycle counts and replenishment orders for critical spare parts on-site at the data center
• Process return shipments of various electronic components utilizing multiple warehouse management systems
• Place server racks on the data center floor with 100% accuracy utilizing laser measuring devices
• Populate electronic components and install cabling into server racks by following provided diagrams and schematics
• Install rack hardware using various hand, power and measuring tools
• Operate various types of material handling equipment such as straddle stackers, rack movers and electric pallet jacks
• Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to 5s standards
• Push, pull and lift frequently throughout the workday

Requirements

• Good interpersonal and customer service skills
• Critical thinking abilities and good analytical skills
• Experience with computers
• Knowledge of electrical safety and static discharge hazards and protocols
• 1-3 years of related experience
