Cycle Counter

About This Role

This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records at a cold storage facility by performing routine cycle counts, verifying stock levels, and identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies to support efficient warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled cycle counts of inventory items within the cold storage facility
• Accurately document and report any discrepancies such as overages, shortages, or damaged goods
• Investigate inventory discrepancies by reviewing transaction histories and warehouse records
• Update and maintain accurate inventory data in the WMS
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to address discrepancies and identify root causes for inventory issues
• Participate in physical inventory counts during periodic and annual audits
• Ensure inventory areas are well-organized and comply with safety and operational standards
• Perform other duties as needed to support the inventory control team and warehouse operations

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in inventory management or cycle counting
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in counting and data entry
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills and proficiency in using inventory scanning devices
• Ability to work in cold storage environments as low as -10°F
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in inventory management or cycle counting, preferably in a warehouse or cold storage environment

Nice to Have

• Experience on forklifts or reach trucks
