Cybersecurity Instructor/Curriculum Developer

About This Role

This role involves designing and developing cybersecurity training curricula and course materials, consulting with clients on learning objectives, and instructing developed courseware to help clients navigate the evolving threat landscape.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop training objectives, curricula, instructor guides, student guides, job aids, course outlines, and other course material utilizing instructional design models
• Consult with client to develop learning objectives and training approach
• Research, analyze, design, develop, and customize instructional materials to potentially support WBT (Web-Based Training)/CBT (Computer-Based Training)/ILT (Instructor-Led Training)
• Apply various instructional strategies, models, and theories to develop learning content to enhance learning transfer and greater on-the-job performance
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure impactful, relevant course content and supporting training range
• Present/Instruct developed courseware

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science
• Active Secret clearance
• 3+ years of cyber security experience with emphasis on cybersecurity course training development
• 3 years of experience with SIEM/IDS/IPS (Elastic Stack, Splunk, HBSS, or equivalent)
• 2+ years of experience with Windows and Linux command line, networking, traffic analysis and MITRE ATT&CK
• 1+ year of experience working on a cybersecurity team, such as a Security Operations Center (SOC), Cyber Protection Team (CPT) or Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP)
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science
• 3+ years of cyber security experience with emphasis on cybersecurity course training development, 3 years of experience with SIEM/IDS/IPS, and 2+ years of experience with Windows and Linux command line, networking, traffic analysis and MITRE ATT&CK. 1+ year of experience working on a cybersecurity team.
