Customer Service Representative

About This Role

This Customer Service Representative role involves processing customer requests for quotations, orders, and lead-times, preparing accurate quotations, and coordinating with various departments to ensure customer satisfaction at a leading motion and flow control solutions provider.

Responsibilities

• Receive telephone, email, fax, or walk-in requests for price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations from customers
• Provide support to the Outside Sales Team
• Utilize business ERP systems to retrieve customer information, stock status, and purchase order status, and make necessary changes
• Track and follow up on inquiries, quotations, and orders through ERP systems, coordinating with suppliers and warehouse expeditors regarding deliveries
• Interface with suppliers on technical, pricing, and delivery issues
• Assist accounts receivable with payment and credit hold issues
• Address and resolve all customer requests and complaints using a positive, creative approach
• Collaborate with appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong relationship building skills
• Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)

Qualifications

• Previous background including knowledge of parts and nomenclature and demonstrated ability to work well with customers and suppliers.

Nice to Have

• Experience with P21 software
• Experience with distribution and familiarity with product lines
