This role involves responding to customer inquiries, processing orders, resolving complaints, and providing expert product, pricing, and shipping information to customers for a manufacturing company. The representative will ensure customer satisfaction and support sales initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries both in person and over the phone
- Maintain system information including product pricing and availability
- Enter customer orders and suggest additional products
- Provide technical assistance to customers when needed
- Contact truck run customers for orders and ensure timely placement
- Make same-day follow-up calls regarding backorders and delivery dates
- Actively participate in company-defined sales initiatives
- Research customer service complaints and answer customer questions
- Consult with management for direction to resolve complaints
- Research customer warranty and/or return requests, completing appropriate documentation
- Track shipments as necessary
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of customer service experience
- Excellent computer and phone skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to develop product knowledge to specify and recommend appropriate products
