Customer Service Leader

About This Role

Provide exceptional customer service and support the customer service management team in maintaining operational standards and maximizing sales at Food Lion.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly service while engaging customers
• Greet each customer and use their name when possible
• Ensure store office functions are completed accurately and on time
• Maintain knowledge of office procedures including cash reports, deposits, and financial services
• Ensure workstation and front-end area are neat and clean
• Maintain knowledge of sales associate register functions and Front End accounting services
• Report register malfunctions and place service calls efficiently
• Ensure MVP savings center KIOSK is filled and working properly
• Perform sales associate tasks when scheduled or needed
• Perform customer lead tasks as needed to maintain service standards
• Maintain alertness and call for assistance to service customers
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates
• Adhere to company guidelines, policies, and standard practices
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions
• Notify QA of cleaning issues or maintenance required on the front end
• Complete computer-based and training aid courses

Requirements

• Effective communication and customer service skills
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements
• Ability to perform technical requirements of cashier and service center
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the position

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
