Food Lion To Go Associate

About This Role

This role provides fast, easy, flexible, and friendly service to customers by assisting the Food Lion To-Go Lead and maintaining store standards to maximize sales.

Responsibilities

• Smile, greet customers, and provide prompt, accurate, and friendly service to create a positive shopping experience
• Exhibit behaviors aligning with Food Lion's guiding principles, core values, vision, and strategy
• Shop multiple customer orders using designated tools and equipment
• Recognize and differentiate between all types of produce carried in the store
• Substitute items when requested by customers
• Scan, bag, and label purchases efficiently and accurately, following company policy
• Verify customer IDs and observe store policies for the sale of alcoholic beverages
• Assist customers picking up orders
• Complete Accountability Form from end to end process
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron and name badge, maintaining a neat appearance
• Control store expenses through proper use of store supplies
• Adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and standard practices
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions to prevent accidents
• Notify QA of cleaning issues or maintenance required for the To-Go area and equipment
• Successfully complete Computer Based Training (CBT) and Training Aid courses

Requirements

• Good interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
• Desire to work in a team environment
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
• Meet minimum age requirements, when applicable, to perform specific job functions

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
