CT Technologist

About This Role

Perform CT examinations, ensuring quality patient care and efficient department operation. Assist in clinical training for staff and radiology students, demonstrating knowledge of patient growth and development principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and adjust equipment for taking film
• Perform all required procedures utilizing proper positioning, format, technique and protocol
• Identify, interview and screen patients for proper diet preparation and possible allergies to contrast materials
• Record procedure and pertinent data in patient’s medical record
• Participate in the quality assessment and improvement plan, assuming responsibility for specific quality control duties
• Monitor inventory of supplies, orders, and expired items and notify appropriate individual when stock is low
• Monitor and report equipment malfunctions
• Produce high quality images via digital imaging or hard CR cassette and present the film satisfactorily for Radiologist interpretation
• Mentor and assist in the education of students
• Assist with staff/student on-the-job training and orientation

Requirements

• Associate's Degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiography (R) certification within 60 days

Qualifications

• Associate's Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, or equivalent specialty
