CT Tech II

About This Role

Perform a variety of tasks in CT, MRI, and 3D post-processing, ensuring quality control and proper equipment function. This role involves direct patient care within the Methodist Healthcare System.

Responsibilities

• Perform post-processing on CT/MRI data sets in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain quality control measures of the 3D Lab, CT/MRI department, ensuring good documentation and follow-through on issues
• Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of CT, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 3D post-processing, positioning, procedure preparation and technical factors
• Communicate effectively with others, prioritize tasks, and act as a mentor to staff while providing quality in-services and instructions
• Ensure proper working condition of all CT/MRI post-processing equipment
• Coordinate with vendors for repairs and scheduled maintenance
• Maintain inventory and equipment service records
• Assist in establishing QC/QA protocols as required by JCAHO, ACR, OSHA, TDH and other agencies
• Responsible for the proper use of the RIS (scheduling exams, patient tracking, film tracking, proper completion of exams and assisting the department manager in-patient charging accuracy)

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• ARRT-MR, ARRT-CT, or ARRT-R certification
• Associate Degree or Certificate
