Supervise and coordinate crews engaged in water and wastewater divisions, ensuring technical correctness and efficient operations. This role involves scheduling, direct supervision, and maintaining operational records.
Responsibilities
- Schedule, plan, direct and assist the activities of work crews in water and wastewater divisions
- Supervise and organize the work of other Foreman, Equipment Operators, semi-skilled and unskilled laborers
- Establish policies, methods, and procedures for work crews
- Investigate citizen complaints and recommend appropriate action
- Maintain a variety of operational records
- Monitor equipment utilization and maintenance, recommend replacements, and participate in acquisition
- Requisition, purchase, and/or maintain supplies
- Operate all equipment in water and sewer divisions, including backhoes, track hoes, bulldozers, dump trucks, frontend loaders, and flush vac equipment
Requirements
- Ability to obtain TCEQ Grade C Water Distribution License
- Ability to obtain Type II Wastewater collector license
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid Class A CDL
- Valid driving record sufficient for coverage by City's auto liability carrier
Qualifications

- Progressively responsible experience with the coordination of crews in water and wastewater divisions
