About This Role

Operate company vehicles to provide efficient and courteous delivery and pick-up of packages, ensuring compliance with FedEx service features and safety regulations. This role involves customer interaction and adherence to specific physical requirements and federal motor carrier safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate company vehicles
• Provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
• Provide related customer service functions
• Meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• Licensed for type of vehicle assigned
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations
• Medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• At least 21 years of age
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance
