Counter Sales Representative - Plumbing & HVAC

About This Role

This role is responsible for advising customers, processing orders, and maintaining store appearance for plumbing and HVAC products. This position requires strong customer service and sales skills, along with product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice to customers regarding the best products to fit their needs
• Process orders via order management system
• Operate cash registers and follow cash handling procedures
• Prepare and stage orders for customer pick up
• Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards
• Ensure that merchandise is restocked and placed in respective areas
• Maintain a safe working environment including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Adhere to all safety regulations, including correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE), with a safety harness maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs

Requirements

• General computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise
• General math skills for cash accounting
• An ability to learn is a must have!
• Excellent decision making and communication skills

Qualifications

• 3-5 years customer service and or sales experience preferred

Nice to Have

• 3-5 years customer service and or sales experience
• 1+ year of plumbing and/or HVAC product knowledge
