Cost Segregation Project Engineer

About This Role

This role involves creating detailed cost segregation reports for clients, conducting site visits to document assets, and generating comprehensive spreadsheets and written reports. The Project Engineer will collaborate with management and clients to ensure accuracy and resolve project challenges.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed cost segregation reports, including preliminary research, file reviews, and engagement confirmations
• Conduct comprehensive site visits, documenting assets and common areas
• Input building assets into spreadsheets, write property descriptions, and generate comprehensive reports
• Collaborate with management staff to ensure accuracy of reports
• Communicate effectively with clients and sales teams, addressing issues promptly
• Participate in regular staff meetings, technical sessions, and training
• Tackle unique project challenges and ensure high accuracy and detail
• Collect data about client properties, perform on-site reviews, and execute multi-step assessment processes

Requirements

• Minimum of a four-year engineering or technical degree
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering construction plans and specifications
• Willingness and ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Critical thinking skills to read and understand architectural and engineering construction plans and specifications

Qualifications

• A minimum of a four-year engineering or technical degree
