About This Role

Lead and educate hairstylists, focusing on proper techniques, product understanding, and ensuring high-quality service delivery for Drybar shops. This role drives positive learning cultures and contributes to team development and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Support surrounding Drybar shops with proper auditions, training, and understanding of new products and retail supplies
  • Manage service quality by upholding Drybar standards, conducting quality control checks, and providing feedback to management
  • Facilitate and maintain consistent and effective training for all shop team members in accordance with Drybar standards
  • Conduct and lead orientation training for new hires on Drybar blowout techniques, onboarding, services, and client experience
  • Identify on-going training and developmental needs for stylists, providing constructive feedback and acknowledging successes
  • Provide in-person shop support, completing a minimum of 20 blowouts weekly to lead by example and increase client count
  • Conduct stylist interviews and auditions to assess talent based on technical capabilities
  • Train team members on new products, tools, and communicate special product, merchandising, and service promotions
  • Serve as a member of the leadership team by assisting in the management of shift leads, stylists, and bartenders
  • Ensure all company procedures, policies, federal, state, local regulations, health department, and cosmetology board standards are met

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current state Cosmetology license
  • 2+ years' experience as a stylist
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proven track record of stellar customer service

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 2+ years' experience as a stylist; preferred minimum of 1 year experience as a hairstylist or cosmetologist trainer or educator

Nice to Have

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a hairstylist or cosmetologist trainer or educator in the beauty industry
  • Experience in multi-unit/multi-state retail operations and consumer products organizations
  • Bilingual Spanish
