The Corporate Operate Project Manager will drive strategic initiatives across Deloitte's corporate Operate platform, heavily engaging in multimillion-dollar, multi-year transformation programs within the Tax Operate team. This role focuses on the digital transformation of tax practices and client technology transformations.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of project(s) to ensure delivery within scope, budget, and resources, escalating to program lead as needed.
- Ensure full utilization of Deloitte technology on engagements, including the AI roadmap.
- Collaborate with stakeholders for effective and efficient project implementation.
- Submit project status reports to stakeholders, review and mitigate risks and issues, and react to change.
- Manage interaction between clients and internal program delivery teams to ensure visibility of interdependent initiatives.
- Engage governance group(s) to keep stakeholders informed and drive program success.
- Support and create management reporting as required by Program leadership.
- Manage escalation and resolution of risks and issues according to defined standards.
- Manage the Integrated work-plan and track progress against plan for milestones.
Requirements
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model (2-3 days in person per week).
- 8+ years of experience in tax or technology projects/strategic initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, management information system, or related field.
- Experience with tax-related concepts and tax return implementations.
- Experience developing executive communications, both written and verbal.
- Ability to travel up to 25% on average.
- One active accreditation (CPA, Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, CFA, CFP, PMP).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in accounting, business administration, management information system, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience working on tax or technology projects and/or strategic initiatives within a large, matrixed, and complex organization.

- Previous Big 4 or major consulting experience.
- Knowledge of tax accounting systems and related technology.
- Understanding of tax issues and tax terminology.
- Experience with corporate tax compliance.
- Knowledge or experience of agile methodologies.
- Proven strategic and logical thinking ability.
