Waabi is seeking a Corporate Counsel to lead complex contract negotiations, mitigate legal risks, and partner with internal stakeholders on supplier and third-party agreements. This role collaborates with the Global Supply Chain team to improve contract processes and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the negotiation and execution of complex, small and large-scale contracts.
- Perform initial review, analysis of proposals, and interpretation of terms & conditions.
- Mitigate all legal risks related to contracts.
- Partner with internal stakeholders on Supplier and Third Party contracts (NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, DPAs).
- Provide insight on industry and market standards for commercial contract clauses.
- Draft contracts from scratch as needed to support Waabi's development efforts.
- Collaborate closely with Global Supply Chain on contract databases and processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements and documentation.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.)
- Member of a state bar
- In-house counsel experience
- 6+ years of experience with commercial contracts
- Experience in negotiating SaaS & Hardware development contracts
- Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficient in Google Workspace
