Corporate Controller

About This Role

The Corporate Controller acts as a strategic financial partner to the CFO, overseeing the global accounting function, financial reporting, and the implementation of financial processes to support the Company's long-term strategy. This role drives value creation, ensures GAAP compliance, and leads the FP&A and accounting teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic financial partner to the CFO
• Manage the global accounting function, including driving value creation and financial reporting
• Implement financial processes and tools to support the Company’s long-term strategy
• Develop finance staff and serve as a technical accounting resource
• Perform analysis of financial results, oversee budgeting and forecasting
• Maintain the integrity of accounting systems and internal control environment
• Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP
• Lead the FP&A and accounting team in accurate and timely consolidation of month-end results
• Lead publication of monthly financial statements and support budget/forecasting and strategic planning processes
• Direct the preparation of monthly reports for management and lead key financial trend analysis
• Plan, direct, and coordinate timely and accurate external financial reporting, including SEC filings

Requirements

• 20+ years of experience, preferably with previous oversight of accounting function in a public company
• Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting
• Direct experience in a manufacturing or products driven business
• Thorough understanding of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage people down, across and upwards throughout the organization
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Strong leadership and financial partnership skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting from a four year college or university
• Minimum of 20+ years of experience, preferably with previous oversight of the accounting function in a public company. Direct experience in a manufacturing or products driven business.
