About This Role

This role involves validating propulsion control software and ensuring robust functionality of electrified powertrain and high-voltage charging systems. The engineer will develop Design Verification Plans (DVPs), conduct testing, and identify critical edge-case maneuvers to guarantee performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Design Verification Plans (DVPs) for propulsion system functional requirements
  • Conduct vehicle and bench testing
  • Determine appropriate test environments
  • Perform issue pre-analysis
  • Identify critical edge-case maneuvers to ensure robust powertrain performance and reliability

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 1 year in automotive controls and software development, validation, or related engineering work
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills, comfortable in a multi-cultural matrix organization
  • Professional communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Interest in working on vehicles and various test benches

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 1 year in automotive controls and software development, validation, or related engineering work

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Proficiency in network protocols
  • Strong understanding of controls system and embedded software architectures
  • Hands-on experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, and INCA tools
  • Hands-on experience with Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow
  • Knowledge of functional safety and hazard analysis ISO 26262
  • Experience simulating CAN messages via CAPL
  • Completion of regional high-voltage training courses
  • Willingness to travel as needed in NA and internationally
