Controller - CAAS - Restaurant/Retail

About This Role

This Controller role supports the Client Accounting and Advisory Service (CAAS) for the Retail and Franchise group, helping clients transform their business, mitigate risk, and identify personnel. This position involves managing client relationships and ensuring accurate accounting practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 6 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (FASB/SFAS)
• Strong organization skills/goal orientation/self-motivation
• Ability to handle pressure in a positive professional manner
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Clear, concise, and considerate communication
• Ability to work cooperatively with others
• Proven success in managing work and key client relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• 6 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller.

Nice to Have

• CPA certification
• Experience in accounting for retail or restaurant franchise
• Public accounting experience
