Accounting Consultant - Engagement Director

About This Role

Serve as a high-level interim or project-based accounting resource for clients, designing and improving accounting processes, and taking a hands-on approach in executing client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a high-level interim or project-based accounting resource for clients in various industries on accounting, finance, tax, and audit roles (Interim Controller, Financial Reporting Manager, Internal Audit Manager, etc.)
• Design and improve accounting processes such as: monthly close, management and financial reporting, forecasting, consolidations, and system implementations
• Take an active and hands-on approach in executing client engagements
• Travel for opportunities as needed
• Pick and choose client engagements

Requirements

• Ten years relative work experience including public accounting
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
• Mastery in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in a variety of accounting software

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
• 10 years relative work experience including public accounting; prior industry experience as a CFO, Controller, SEC Reporting or Internal Audit Manager equivalent preferred

Nice to Have

• CPA certification
• Prior project management experience
• Exceptional client service management experience
