Consumer Credit Risk Data & Analytics Analyst

About This Role

This role transforms data into meaningful formats for operational and decision-making purposes, working with senior analysts to gather and interpret data for leaders. The analyst supports the Consumer Bank's strategy by developing recommendations to enhance profitability while managing portfolio credit risk.

Responsibilities

• Modify reports that are valuable, readable, and presentable to stakeholders
• Assist in the preparation of visual reports/presentations to present analysis to management
• Interpret, analyze, and provide insights to teams and managers to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities
• Perform data analysis to help achieve data automation
• Create and maintain databases to help classify & store information
• Complete day-to-day deliverables and ad-hoc data reports to support business needs/projects and answer data related questions
• Ensure compliance by performing quality data audits, mining, and management
• Monitor data and analytics trends and seek opportunities for continuous improvement
• Prepare the Consumer Bank’s Credit Risk Assessments
• Provide business input into the determination of Risk Appetite and Concentration Frameworks, and Credit Policy

Requirements

• Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or related field and two (2) years of experience in a data analytics or related role
• Or, a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or related field and four (4) years of experience in a data analytics or related role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or related field; Or a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or related field
• Master's degree with two (2) years of experience in a data analytics or related role, or Bachelor's degree with four (4) years of experience in a data analytics or related role.

Nice to Have

• Experience utilizing analytical software such as Structured Query Language (SQL), Statistical Analysis System (SAS), SAS Enterprise Miner, and applicable Microsoft Office applications
• Working knowledge of business intelligence software (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
• Retail Consumer Banking operations experience
• Consumer Credit Card, Small Business and Direct Lending experience
