Construction Superintendent I

About This Role

This role assists the project superintendent in managing construction projects. The Construction Superintendent I will coordinate trade contractors, ensure compliance with safety standards, and contribute to quality control processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate trade contractors to stay on schedule
• Maintain strict accordance with the contract documents
• Support all safety efforts in the field and lead safety orientations
• Stay informed of all field activities
• Monitor actual work to maintain compliance for the work plan
• Maintain daily reports and documentation
• Enforce safety and quality control policies
• Attend and participate in project meetings
• Establish credibility among Owners, trade contractors, and unions by maintaining a fair and trustworthy environment

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 0-2 years experience in superintendent role on construction projects
• Strong technical and communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction
• Experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling and cost control
• OSHA 30 hour certified

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 0-2 years experience in superintendent role on construction projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience
