Construction Pallet Repair Laborer

About This Role

Ryder is hiring permanent full-time Skilled Laborers and Construction Professionals to perform pallet repair and assembly at their Fort Worth manufacturing facility, ensuring excellent craftsmanship with state-of-the-art equipment in a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Use pneumatic nail gun, powered saw, and other powered/hand tools to repair or assemble pallets
• Place pallets on repair table, remove defective boards, replace with new boards, and secure into place
• Safely and securely repair pallets at a rate that meets company and safety standards
• Lift up to 75 pounds and stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours)
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area, complying with OSHA and MSDS Standards

Requirements

• Ability to comprehend basic math
• Ability to operate power tools in a safe manner
• Ability to follow repair process
• Ability to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch frequently
• Ability to use proper techniques to lift a minimum of 75 lbs
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day)
• Able to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 0 to 1 year in carpentry or construction background preferred

Nice to Have

• Carpentry or construction background (0-1 year)
