This role involves leading and managing the firm’s comprehensive strategy for business rankings, surveys, and awards. The manager will develop award and ranking strategies, create award-winning submissions, and elevate the firm's market profile.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the firm’s comprehensive submission strategy for business rankings, surveys, and awards.
- Proactively provide strategic recommendations for existing or new business rankings, surveys, and awards the firm should pursue.
- Create and manage a legal directory and awards calendar that sets timelines and deadlines.
- Assist with the firm’s global legal directories submissions process, including Chambers and Legal 500.
- Draft and edit nominations.
- Lead the management of the submissions process and ensure adherence to deadlines and submission quality.
- Analyze, research, and provide guidance on brand-elevating opportunities and best practices around nominations and submissions, including AI use.
- Collect data and maintain internal databases to reflect up-to-date firm rankings and recognitions.
Requirements
- Excellent oral, writing, editing, researching, and project management skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to distill complex concepts into compelling and persuasive content
- Ability to take initiative and independently manage and prioritize a heavy workload
- Effective interview skills
- Strong Microsoft skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience using generative AI tools and interest in generative engine optimization strategies
- Client-service oriented
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to adapt to quickly changing priorities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in communications, English, or an equivalent field; or any combination of training, education and experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience writing, editing, and proofreading in communications, journalism, publishing, public relations, marketing, or related field in an agency, law firm, or professional services firm.
