Represent a family-owned commercial real estate company in Chicago by managing purchases, sales, financing transactions, and commercial litigation for their diverse property portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Represent the Company in purchases and sales of commercial properties
- Represent the Company, as borrower, in financing transactions
- Draft routine commercial leases and amendments
- Prosecute evictions and other commercial litigation
- Defend municipal code litigation
- Interpret leases and contracts
- Supervise outside collection agents and attorneys
- Work with other staff attorneys
Requirements
- License to practice law in the State of Illinois
- Minimum of 3-5 years of strong commercial real estate experience
- Substantial experience in drafting and negotiating commercial leases
- Experience in closing purchases, sales, and financing transactions related to commercial properties
- Computer competence
- Some County Circuit Court litigation experience
- Full-time access to a reliable automobile
