Commercial Lead HVAC Technician

About This Role

Lead and oversee commercial HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client satisfaction. This role involves diagnosing and repairing complex HVAC systems including boilers, chillers, and RTUs, while also mentoring junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee commercial HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair projects
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and RTUs
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on complex HVAC systems
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, local building codes, and safety regulations
• Train and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on best practices and troubleshooting techniques
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation of work performed
• Respond to emergency service calls as needed and ensure prompt resolutions
• Recommend system upgrades or energy-efficient solutions to improve performance and cost savings

Requirements

• 8+ years as a commercial HVAC technician
• Expertise in boilers, chillers, and cooling towers
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, components, and control systems
• EPA Universal Certification
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Qualifications

• 8+ years as a commercial HVAC technician with expertise in boilers, chillers, and cooling towers
