Commercial Drywall and Framing Mechanic

About This Role

Join a leading Design-Build company as a Commercial Drywall and Framing Mechanic, specializing in carpentry for commercial and governmental construction projects. This hands-on role involves working with metal stud framing, drywall, and ACT at military bases.

Responsibilities

• Work with stud metal framing systems, drywall, and other materials in commercial construction
• Work with Acoustical Ceiling Tile (ACT)
• Assist fellow craft workers on-site as needed
• Clean and prepare job sites, dig trenches, and set up braces for support
• Erect scaffolding, clear debris, and safely dispose of non-hazardous materials
• Operate construction equipment and support its upkeep and maintenance
• Follow all safety protocols in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years of carpentry experience (rough, finish carpentry)
• 2+ years field or trade work experience in commercial construction
• Experience with framing and installing steel metal frames

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is the minimum formal education for this position
• Five or more years of experience with carpentry (rough and/or finish) and two or more years field or trade work experience in commercial construction

• CPR Certification
• First Aid Certification
• Forklift/Manlift training and certificate
• Trenching and shoring training
• Fall protection training

• EM-385 40-hour certification
• OSHA 10-hour certification
