Lead, manage, and develop a team of high-performing Relationship Managers within the Commercial Bank's South Central Division for Wells Fargo, with a focus on client engagement and strategic business development.
Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of high-performing Relationship Managers
- Engage with clients and drive business development
- Provide expertise on commercial relationship management, including anticipating business needs and managing expectations
- Oversee financial analyses, client presentations, and partner engagement, ensuring risk assessment
- Serve as a strategic advisor internally and externally, shaping team priorities and execution
- Represent Wells Fargo externally with clients, prospects, and the community
- Exercise good judgment and serve as a trusted escalation point for employees and clients
- Influence across the organization, collaborating with senior leaders and driving value-added partnerships
- Cultivate a strong talent pipeline, foster a high-performance culture, and mentor emerging leaders
- Lead the team in delivering the full Wells Fargo platform, establishing best practices for partnering with product groups
Requirements
- 6+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management or leadership experience
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience
Qualifications
- 6+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management or leadership experience, and 3+ years of management or leadership experience
Nice to Have
- Deep expertise in core commercial banking products and services (lending, treasury management, financial solutions)
- Completion of a formal credit training program
- Proven history of managing high-value commercial relationships ($25MM to $2B revenue segment)
- Established professional network within San Antonio and broader market
- Ability to provide strategic leadership and oversight to a team of Commercial Bankers
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain a strong, cohesive team culture
- Experience leading high-performing teams and supporting professional development
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across business lines
- Demonstrated success in generating new client relationships and cultivating partnerships
- Strong risk discipline and experience identifying, mitigating, and managing risk
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
