About This Role

Assist professional nursing personnel in providing patient care. Provide personal care, emotional support, and execute clinical skills under supervision, contributing to a comfortable and clean patient environment.

Responsibilities

• Consult with and keep supervisor informed of unit activities, patient care needs, and problems
• Provide general nursing care including patient positioning, lifting, turning, and assisting with daily living activities
• Take and accurately record vital signs, weight, height, and intake/output measurements, documenting in a timely manner
• Prepare patient rooms and beds for admission and transfers, ensuring necessary equipment is present
• Maintain an attractive and comfortable patient environment, prioritizing cleanliness, ventilation, and lighting
• Assist in patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures
• Answer patient call lights, telephones, and paging systems, responding appropriately
• Perform routine treatment procedures like enemas and application of heat/cold appliances under RN direction
• Release, remove, and reapply patient restraints under the direction of an RN
• Serve and remove patient meal trays in a timely manner and assist with feeding as needed

Requirements

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification
• BLS Certification
• Minimum six months' experience in acute or long-term care facility
• Ability to read, write and speak fluent English

Qualifications

• Completion of course for nursing assistants
• Minimum six months' experience in acute or long-term care facility
