Design, develop, and modernize a large-scale, enterprise cloud data and analytics platform. This role involves architecting next-generation AWS cloud solutions, developing data pipelines, and implementing DevOps best practices to support mission-critical operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and implement enterprise-scale AWS cloud solutions with a focus on performance, security, scalability, and reliability
- Develop and support cloud-native data platforms, analytics systems, and reporting architectures
- Partner with engineering, analytics, and business teams to translate complex data needs into scalable cloud solutions
- Build and maintain data pipelines, streaming solutions, migration, and replication frameworks
- Design and implement end-to-end automation for infrastructure, deployments, validation, and certification processes
- Create and manage infrastructure using Terraform, Python, shell scripting, and CI/CD pipelines
- Develop and maintain cloud architectures for data warehousing, data lakes, and lakehouse platforms
- Implement DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) best practices
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, governance, and data integrity standards
- Conduct proofs of concept (POCs) and evaluate emerging cloud and data technologies
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience designing and building enterprise-scale systems
- 3+ years of experience designing and implementing cloud-based architectures
- Strong expertise in AWS services (RDS, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, Redshift, Databricks Lakehouse, cloud data platforms)
- Advanced skills in SQL, data modeling, and data governance
- Experience with distributed data technologies (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, Presto, SparkSQL, Cassandra, Solr)
- Strong scripting experience with Python, Bash, or similar languages
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Talend, Informatica, or similar platforms)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Strong understanding of cloud security, scalability, and reliability engineering
- UNIX/Linux system administration experience
- Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and data pipeline architecture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience designing and building enterprise-scale systems; 3+ years of experience designing and implementing cloud-based architectures
