The Clinical Nurse II provides comprehensive nursing care, including medication administration and treatment, to patients under general supervision. This role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while also performing related duties and potentially supervising other professional and paraprofessional staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients including medications and treatment
- Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Perform related duties as required for patient care
- Supervise professional and paraprofessional staff of the unit when assigned
- Accurately provide care with respect to medication administration, skin and wound care, and ADL's
- Develop, implement, evaluate and modify nursing care plans
- Gather and assess patient information to meet nursing needs
- Assist and consult with physicians in the performance of procedures and diagnostic tests
- Organize, supervise, adjust, and take responsibility for the quality of patient care provided by co-workers
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
- Valid California Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification
- One year of recent full-time nursing experience in a 100-bed hospital or specialty area
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- One year full time recent experience at a comparable level in a minimum 100-bed hospital or in the area of specialty.
