Clinical Care LVN/LPN Float

About This Role

This role involves providing holistic, evidence-based care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and health counseling to patients in a retail healthcare setting. The LPN/LVN will be a key member of the clinical team, focusing on patient well-being and supporting a healthy work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, evidenced-based care including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for patients
• Administer immunizations and injections (e.g., COVID19, influenza, TB) and provide patient/parent vaccine counseling and education
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection services
• Assess patients during intake and take vital signs
• Perform diagnostic tests such as EKG and Retinopathy screening
• Perform Point of Care (POC) testing, including COVID testing
• Perform patient registration and intake, assist with wait room management to enhance patient experience
• Order equipment and prepare the clinic for the best patient experience

Requirements

• Minimum of one-year related work experience in a healthcare setting
• Experience documenting within an Electronic Medical Record
• Ability to take vital signs, perform phlebotomy blood draws and perform Point of Care Testing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Ability to pass a FIT test and wear a provided respirator mask when protocol is required

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of Practical or Vocational Nursing, approved by the State Agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing (Accrediting Commission (NLNAC))
• Minimum of one-year related work experience in a healthcare setting

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room
• Previous experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Record
