Class B CDL Delivery Truck Driver

About This Role

Drive a Class B CDL delivery truck for a wholesale building materials distributor, ensuring safe and timely ground and rooftop deliveries to customers' job sites.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Conduct a safe work zone during each job site
• Adhere to assigned delivery schedule and follow all job directives precisely
• Document every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos with a camera phone system
• Complete a thorough load check on the truck before leaving the branch, ensuring all delivery materials are firmly secured and in compliance with regulations
• Work in cooperation with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set and unload materials
• Complete and file all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner
• Provide the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collect the entire due amount on COD deliveries
• Perform warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials on to or off of trucks or into warehouse as assigned

Requirements

• Valid CDL – Class B
• Ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops
• Pass pre-employment drug screen

• Conveyor and/or drywall boom experience
