Civil Structural Engineer

About This Role

Join ENERCON as a Civil Structural Design or Project Engineer, contributing to critical infrastructure projects and developing solutions across various divisions like Nuclear Services, Federal Services, Data Center, and Energy Group.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed analysis and design of critical structures and components within civil structural systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet rigorous safety and regulatory requirements, including seismic and environmental standards
• Evaluate proposed plant modifications, ensuring safety and compliance are upheld
• Prepare in-depth technical reports, design calculations, and specifications, and effectively communicate findings to key stakeholders
• Lead design initiatives by developing innovative design studies, crafting comprehensive project scopes, and producing accurate engineering estimates
• Tackle complex technical challenges with fresh ideas and creative problem-solving strategies
• Travel for site walkdowns, overseeing field installations, and supporting system start-ups
• Lead by example, motivating teams to achieve ambitious goals with a positive, results-driven attitude and effective leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum 3 years of experience with design of civil structural systems
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
• Proficient in Word and Excel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum 3 years of experience with design of civil structural systems for mid-level position; Senior Engineers typically have 7+ years, Principal Engineers 10+ years.

Nice to Have

• Experience in engineering/design services, power generation, nuclear power, heavy industrial including chemical or pulp & paper, and government (DOE) projects
