This role involves functioning as a scrub person during operative procedures, participating in ongoing education, and precepting staff within a Magnet-designated hospital with 16 ORs.
Responsibilities
- Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures
- Participate in ongoing educational and competency activities
- Precept staff to the surgical technician job duties, including surgical technicians, nurses and students
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Surgical Technician Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Certification of Graduation from ARC/STSA-Accredited Surgical Technology Program
- NBSTSA- Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
- Basic computer skills
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2 year of Surgical Technician experience preferred
Nice to Have
- 2 years of Surgical Technician experience
