About This Role

This role involves functioning as a scrub person during operative procedures, participating in ongoing education, and precepting staff within a Magnet-designated hospital with 16 ORs.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures
• Participate in ongoing educational and competency activities
• Precept staff to the surgical technician job duties, including surgical technicians, nurses and students

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Surgical Technician Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Certification of Graduation from ARC/STSA-Accredited Surgical Technology Program
• NBSTSA- Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
• Basic computer skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2 year of Surgical Technician experience preferred

Nice to Have

• 2 years of Surgical Technician experience
