The Certified SUD Counselor will assist patients through medically assisted treatments and provide techniques for handling opioid use. This role involves conducting individual and group sessions for crisis management and coping strategies, as well as evaluating patient progress and collaborating with medical staff for improved outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling services, with direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals
- Coordinate all services throughout treatment
- Complete Bio-psychosocial assessments
- Facilitate, establish, and review initial treatment plans with each patient
- Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
- Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients
Requirements
- Certified Counselor in the State of California
- Satisfactory drug screen
- Satisfactory criminal background check
- Positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward patient population

- Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals
