The Certified SUD Counselor assists patients with medically assisted treatments for opioid use, providing individual and group counseling sessions to teach coping strategies and manage crises. This role involves evaluating patient progress and collaborating with healthcare teams to achieve improved outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling services
- Coordinate all services throughout treatment
- Complete Bio-psychosocial assessments
- Facilitate, establish and review initial treatment plans with each patient
- Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
- Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients
Requirements
- Certified Counselor in the State of California
- Satisfactory drug screen
- Satisfactory criminal background check
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is a plus.
